Donations made to grant open wishes are tax deductible. Twilight Wish Foundation will make every effort to ensure that donated funds go to the wish of your choice. If this is not possible, we will apply the funds to the most urgent and similar wish open at the time. Twilight Wish Foundation has final decision-making authority over the use of all donations.

/in Fulfilled WishesBeverlee Schnable, a resident of Telford, Pennsylvania, recently had her wish for hearing aids granted. Schnable, 78, lives on her own in subsidized senior living. Although she needs hearing aids, she cannot afford them on her fixed income. Despite having significant health issues, Schnable is very active in her community. She has volunteered at Grandview Hospital for 14 years, although this was interrupted by the pandemic. Schnable has also been an auxiliary for the Tylersport Fire Company, assisting with fundraising activities for the past 15 years. Additionally, she volunteers with Chosen 300 Ministries in Pottstown once a month as a meal server. Her wish for hearing aids was be granted on April 20, 2022.

/in Fulfilled WishesOur Twilight Wish Foundation – Long Island, NY Chapter granted Harry’s wish for a new laptop last week! Harry, 86, lives in a 4th floor walkup in New York City and is homebound due to several worsening medical issues. For many years, he had his own business in Chelsea creating custom guitar amp modifications and a line of speakers. Harry prides himself on working with every rock group you can name! He would love to reconnect with past clients and do some freelance work. Having a new laptop will enable him to do this!

Due to circumstances beyond his control, Mahoney had no sofa or bed in his small apartment. He had been sleeping on a camping cot for months. Thanks to our Allegheny County chapter, his wish came true!

/in Fulfilled WishesElsie Day, 79, a resident of York, Pennsylvania, recently had her wish to travel to Atlanta to celebrate her 80th birthday with her family granted, thanks to our headquarters. Although Day won’t turn 80 until October, she wished to make the trip now as she is battling stage four lung cancer. Day is originally from Haiti and has family around the world so they have never all been together at once. She made the trip to Atlanta at the end of February and had a wonderful time celebrating with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

/in Fulfilled WishesLaura Kerr, 65, a resident of Haven Convalescent Home in New Castle, PA, recently had her wish to attend a MercyMe concert granted. Kerr has been cared for her whole life by her parents. She now shares a room with her mother at her facility. Kerr listens to KLOVE radio all day, every day – she truly loves music. Her wish was granted on February 18, 2022.

/in Fulfilled WishesMyrtle Wilson, 77, a resident of Greenville, Texas, recently had her wish for new clothing granted, thanks to our headquarters. Due to a recent illness, Wilson has lost a great deal of weight and none of her old clothes fit her. Her limited income doesn’t allow her to purchase new clothes on her own. Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to grant her wish.

/in Fulfilled WishesAdrian Rushin, a resident of Detroit, Michigan, had her wish to see The Lion King granted, thanks to the newly formed Michigan chapter of Twilight Wish Foundation. Rushin, 68, has lived in Detroit her whole life and recently retired from the Detroit Police Department. She is actively involved in the Russell Street Missionary Baptist Church. In addition, she led three Girl Scout Troops and served previously as Detroit Police Community President. Michigan chapter director, Kimberly Davis, presented Rushin with two tickets to The Lion King on Sunday, January 23rd at her home in Detroit. Rushin attended the performance on Saturday, February 5th
Grundy Hall Arts & Craft Club, Warrington, PA

Resident of Regent Care Center, Hackensack, NJ
/in Fulfilled WishesSeveral residents of Regent Care Center in Hackensack had their simple wishes granted on January 11th, thanks to the Northern New Jersey chapter of national nonprofit Twilight Wish Foundation. Among the wishes granted were Mary Uddgren’s wish for a radio/CD player and Robert Grant’s wish for a nature therapy machine. Thanks to funding received from the Provident Bank Foundation, these and several other wishes were granted.
