Teats, 76, was a Navy corpsman who worked in labor and delivery at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital when she was younger. Her current recliner belonged to her son who has since passed away. Although she can’t bear to part with it for sentimental reasons, it is no longer comfortable. Her simple wish was granted on March 2, 2024.

Monstrola, who is 80, has had several strokes and uses a walker. Her driveway is stone chips and it is difficult for her to maneuver the walker on it. Shannon is 67 and her old chair was nearly 35 years old. She sleeps in her chair so really needed a new, more comfortable one. Shannon volunteered for years with Action for Animals, fostering many animals in need. She also took care of her elderly parents until they passed away. She was so happy to have this simple wish granted!

Bartolozzi was a nurse for 45 years and now suffers from COPD. She needs cooler air in order to breathe well, but the air conditioning in her building gets turned off in mid-October. Having this air conditioner will greatly improve her quality of life.

Sarsfield spends most of her days in her old chair, coloring and petting her cats and dog. She uses a walker and requires supplemental oxygen when walking. She was so grateful to have this wish granted!

Moreau, a Navy veteran, was a commercial artist for over 50 years. He has both glaucoma and macular degeneration, and it is difficult for him to use regular art supplies. His wish for art and drawing supplies for the blind will allow him to keep doing what he loves!

Griffin, 68, is the sole caregiver for her daughter who is in hospice care and needs to do laundry on a daily basis to take care of her daughter’s needs. Because she can’t leave her daughter alone, it is difficult for Griffin to go to the laundromat. They live on a fixed income and cannot afford to replace the appliances on their own. Having her wish granted will be a huge help to them both.
