Nursing Home – Palm Beach, FL
/in Fulfilled WishesA nursing home in Palm Beach, FL is requesting a Twilight Wish for their facility: 2 iPads (9th generation) and 2 iPad cases. These devices will be used to enhance social and sensory stimulation for bedbound residents who are unable to participate in structured group activities. The iPads will allow residents to watch their favorite movies, listen to music, FaceTime with family, socialize on Facebook, listen to podcasts, and play games. This personalized care helps residents enjoy their favorite media and stay connected with family members who may live out of state or are unable to visit. To fulfill this Twilight Wish, we need to raise $450. Please consider donating today.

Samuel’s wish for a Showerbuddy transfer system was granted
/in Fulfilled WishesSamuel Finn, a resident of Jacksonville, Florida, recently had his wish for a Showerbuddy transfer system granted, thanks to our Jacksonville chapter. Finn, 73, suffered a stroke several years ago and is now wheelchair bound, requiring a Hoyer lift for transfers. He lives with his 80-year-old sister, Bennie Byers, who is his sole caregiver and she is unable to assist him with getting in the shower. Having a Showerbuddy installed will greatly improve Finn’s quality of life and will also reduce the caregiving burden on his sister. Thank you to Westside Senior Enrichment Council for their generous donation towards this wish.

Phyllis M., 73, Hernando, FL
/in Fulfilled WishesPhyllis Monsegur, a resident of The Grove Health & Rehabilitation in Hernando, had her wish to spend the day at the beach with her husband granted, thanks to our headquarters. Monsegur, 73, is a permanent resident of The Grove and is visited by her husband, John, every day. Because she is wheelchair-bound, it is difficult for her to leave the facility. They miss spending time together outside of the facility. Monsegur’s wish to spend some time at the beach and have lunch together was granted on February 6, 2022. Twilight Wish also provided her with a new outfit for this special occasion.
