Samuel Finn, a resident of Jacksonville, Florida, recently had his wish for a Showerbuddy transfer system granted, thanks to our Jacksonville chapter. Finn, 73, suffered a stroke several years ago and is now wheelchair bound, requiring a Hoyer lift for transfers. He lives with his 80-year-old sister, Bennie Byers, who is his sole caregiver and she is unable to assist him with getting in the shower.  Having a Showerbuddy installed will greatly improve Finn’s quality of life and will also reduce the caregiving burden on his sister.
