Elaine’s wish for an accessibility ramp is granted
/in Fulfilled WishesElaine Mauzey, a resident of Denver, Colorado recently had her wish for an accessibility ramp granted, thanks to our Colorado chapter. She hadn’t been out of her house in four years because the stairs were too steep and she didn’t have a way to get down them. Now, that they have a ramp, she’s been able to get her nails and hair done, get to doctors’ appointments, and just celebrated 60 years of marriage with a dinner out with her husband!
Marlin S., 85, Centennial, Colorado
/in Fulfilled WishesMarlin Spellmeyer, a resident of Centennial, Colorado, had his wish to attend a Colorado Rockies game granted, thanks to our Colorado chapter. Spellmeyer, who is 85, is a huge Rockies fan but has not been able to attend a game in years. He has several medical issues and is wheelchair bound so it is difficult for him to get to a game. Spellmeyer worked in education and was a middle school principal for many years in Nebraska. His wish was granted on Sunday, August 20, 2023 when he and his family saw the Rockies play the White Sox.
