Steven, 75, a resident of an assisted living facility in Spokane, had his wish for a Steadiwear 3, a device that will steady his hand, granted, thanks to our Pacific Northwest chapter. He is a Vietnam veteran who served in the Air Force as a Protective Coatings Specialist. Due to his exposure to Agent Orange, Steven was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease many years ago. He has severe tremors and is bedbound due to the disease. His favorite past time has been reading books on his Kindle, but that has become difficult as his tremors have gotten worse. Managing his tremors with the device will not only allow Steven to read on his Kindle, but he will also be able to feed himself and do other small tasks on his own, allowing him some independence.
