Jerry has spent his life in service to others. He was a volunteer Pennsylvania State Police Constable for many years and dedicated over 45 years to the Lawrence County Housing Authority, where he worked to support the elderly and disabled residents. Even during his time off, he could be found helping those in need—offering rides, fixing things, or simply being a friend to those who had no one else.
He suffers from severe hearing loss that has worsened over the years. He can no longer hear people speaking unless they shout and face him directly. He misses out on conversations, laughter, and even the simple joy of birds singing. More importantly, his hearing loss has become a safety concern—he can’t hear the home alarm when it goes off, someone knocking at the door, or even the voice of a responder when his fall alert is activated.
When he recently said, “I’d love to hear my family’s voices and the birds chirping again,” it broke our hearts, according to his daughter.
We want to give Jerry the gift of connection, safety, and joy. Hearing aids would dramatically improve his quality of life and allow him to fully engage with the world around him once more.
Jerry’s Twilight Wish is to receive hearing aids, and we’re hoping to raise $2,100 to make that dream come true. Every dollar brings us closer to giving back to a man who has given so much to others. Please donate today!
