Beverlea P., 88, Limington, ME

Beverlea Patten, 88, a resident of Limington, Maine, had her wish for a special Christmas tea granted by our Maine chapter. Beverlea’s health is declining and she is in hospice care. Because of several factors, Beverlea and her husband have not celebrated Christmas in several years. She and her husband care for several rescued cats so decorating their home for Christmas is difficult. When hospice arranged for Bev to have a several day respite stay, Twilight Wish in coordination with VNA Home Health Hospice, made Beverlea’s wish come true. They transformed her floor into a magical Christmasland, including a decorated Christmas tree for her room. Caroling was provided by the Harbour Singers and there were homemade Christmas goodies and a gift for Beverlea. This was the first wish granted by our Maine chapter under the direction of Amanda Carr.
