Veteran has wish for motorized scooter granted
Jonathan Miller, a resident of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, had his wish for a motorized scooter granted by our headquarters staff. Jonathan, who is 66, is an Air Force veteran who was also a volunteer firefighter. He has several medical issues which greatly limit his mobility. Jonathan had a three-wheel scooter, but it wasn’t stable and he fell out of it several times. Medicare would not pay for a four-wheel scooter and he could not afford the cost of one on his own. Having a reliable, safe scooter will allow him to maintain his independence and ability to socialize. His wish was granted, thanks to a generous donor.
