Our Houston Chapter granted Ronnie’s wish to see the Houston Astros play the Rangers on Sunday, July 13, 2025! Ronnie, 73, is a Navy veteran and is battling liver cancer. His best friend, Jack, is also a veteran and they have lived near each other in the same housing complex since 2008. Both were very active volunteering at U.S. Vets Midtown helping with decorating for events, meeting new vets in the program and keeping the inside and outside space clean. They are both die-hard Astros fans that love to root against the Rangers, which is why this game was chosen for them to attend! A huge thank you to Parking Guidance Systems of Houston for not only donating the tickets for the game, but also for providing transportation and spending money for these two deserving veterans
