Navy Veteran has his wish for a laptop granted

James Morris, a resident of Southwestern Veterans Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, had his wish for a Chromebook granted, thanks to our Allegheny County. The Tech Caregiver students from Forbes Road CTC visit Southwestern Veterans Center monthly to provide technical assistance to the elderly residents there. Jimmy, 73, noticed the students help many of the other residents there and witnessed the joy they experience being able to communicate with family and friends. He asked the students to teach him how to use a computer, but he didn’t have a laptop or smart phone. After spending time with Jimmy, the students from Forbes Road decided to find a way to get him a Chromebook and reached out to Twilight Wish. A Navy veteran, Jimmy was also involved in the Knights of Columbus and served as an usher at his church. This deserving senior’s wish was granted on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
