Margaret, 86, is recently widowed and lives on her own as she wants to remain independent. She has many health issues and has a pacemaker and defibrillator. Margaret also had a hip replacement and needs to use a stairlift to get to her kitchen and laundry area. Unfortunately, her old stairlift was unreliable and kept breaking making it unsafe for her to use. Our Allegheny County chapter was able to fix her old stairlift, replacing the motor and seat for her.
