Korean War veteran has his wish for a motorized scooter granted

William Slight, a resident of Telford, Pennsylvania, had his wish for a motorized scooter granted by our headquarters staff. William, who is 94, is an Air Force veteran who served during the Korean War. He enjoys going out to the bank and local grocery store on his own, but he no longer drives and walking has become difficult for him. Having a motorized scooter would allow him to maintain his independence and socialization. William is a member of the American Legion and served as the legion’s custodian for several years. Thanks to a generous donor, we were able to grant this wish for him!
