Mary, a resident of Pittsburgh, was treated like a “Queen for a Day” for her 101st birthday, thanks to our Allegheny County chapter. Mary is the oldest of the “Forever Young” senior ministry members at her church, Petra International Ministries, and was a nurse for over 40 years. She also sang in their choir and volunteered with the National Black Nurses Association until her health started to fail. Mary’s 101st birthday was celebrated after services on Sunday August 16th at her church. Befitting her royal status that day, Gray and her guests were treated to a celebratory lunch, cake and ice cream and music!
