Adella, 67, a resident of Loyolhonna, has nearly 70% hearing loss and needed hearing aids, but couldn’t afford them on her own. Adella is widowed and the sole caregiver to her disabled daughter. Thanks to Beltone of Greensburg who donated her hearing aids, Adella’s quality of life will be greatly improved!

Thanks to help from EXCELA Health, Loretta can now get back to surfing the world wide web. She enjoys keep up with all her Facebook friends, searching YouTube for recipes and paying her bills online. She loves the her new wireless mouse and memory foam mouse pad too! She said she is actually looking forward to the winter months because thanks to her new laptop she can stay connected to the world.
Della L., 89, Greensburg, PA
/in Fulfilled Wishes/by Mary FarrellDella Lewis a resident of Greensburg, PA, had her wish to for a casino night at her nursing facility granted, thanks to our Westmoreland County chapter. Della, 89, is a permanent resident of Westmoreland Manor Nursing Home and her family is struggling with the fact that she will not be able to return home. Her family would love to take her to the casino one more time, but Della cannot leave the facility. Therefore, Twilight Wish brought the casino to Della at her nursing home! She is well known in her nursing facility as a very friendly, caring person who loves to laugh and make others laugh, too. Her wish was granted on Monday, March 5th.
Glenn D., 89, Greensburg, PA
/in Fulfilled Wishes/by Mary FarrellGlenn “Skip” Donaldson, a resident of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, had his wish to see the “Cash” Johnny Cash tribute band at the Palace Theatre granted, thanks to the Westmoreland County chapter of Twilight Wish Foundation. Glenn, 89, served honorably in both the Army and Air Force. He cared for his two ailing parents until they passed away and now lives on his own with no family nearby. According to his social worker who nominated him for his wish, what Glenn enjoys the most now is coloring while listening to his favorite singers: Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and Hank Williams, Sr. His memory is progressively declining, but he remembers all the lyrics to their songs! His wish to see the Johnny Cash tribute band will be granted when he and his social worker, Colleen Noonan, attend the performance on Saturday, January 27th. Thank you to the Palace Theatre for donating the tickets.

Vivian is trying to remain independent and mobile while undergoing treatment for cancer, but is having difficulty getting up out of her chair. Having her wish for a lift chair granted will greatly improve her quality of life and allow her to continue living on her own.

Rosemary, 70, is undergoing treatment for cancer and having a lift chair will make it easier for her to get up to use her walker. She lives on her own and having her wish granted will definitely improve her quality of life. Rosemary volunteered for the Ligonier art club, serving as their secretary for over 30 years.
Margaret M., 86, Greensburg, PA
/in Fulfilled Wishes/by Mary FarrellMargaret Moore, 86, recently had her wish to visit the Flight 93 Memorial with her friend granted, thanks to our Westmoreland County chapter. Margaret has followed the stories of the 9/11 terror attacks and has done research into the events of that tragic day. Margaret recalled that she was out shopping when she heard of the attack and the crash of Flight 93. Now a resident of Westmoreland Manor, Margaret is on hospice care for various ailments. She and her friend, Jean, enjoyed a memorable day together along with volunteers from the chapter touring the memorial.
Sr. Patricia W., 84, Greensburg, PA
/in Fulfilled Wishes/by Mary FarrellSr. Patricia Wilson, 84, had her Twilight Wish to ride in a hot air balloon granted, thanks to our Westmoreland County chapter. A member of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill, Wilson retired at age 74 from active ministry and teaching and administrative posts. Although retired, she currently volunteers for Faith in Action, an organization that helps people remain independent in their homes as long as possible, and has done so for the past seven years. Throughout her more than sixty years of service to others, Wilson has taught in Catholic schools, served as a parish assistant, earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees, started a parish newspaper and started support groups for the separated, divorced and widowed parishioners. Her wish was granted on August 16, 2017.
