/in Open WishesHome Health Care Center, NE
/in Open Wishes, Veterans' WishesA Home Health Care Center in Nebraska has requested a Twilight Wish for their residents. They wish to receive 12 robotic pets, as their previous ones need replacement. The center has observed significant improvements in the mental health and happiness of residents who received these furry friends. The residents cherish their robotic pets, often talking to them, brushing them, and carrying them everywhere. ‘Pet ownership’ helps decrease loneliness and improve mood. For many, these pets are as much a part of the family as their loved ones, and some residents even take them home to honor their memory. Unfortunately, at $140.00 per pet, the cost is too high for residents to afford on their own. The Home Health Care Center is a preferred provider for the Veteran’s Administration and currently has 28 veterans from all branches of the military living in their facility.
To grant their Twilight Wish, we need to raise $1,680.
