Dorothy’s wish to have her artwork displayed in an art show was recently granted by our Connecticut chapter. Dorothy, 82, loves to draw, color and paint and hopes to be “discovered” someday. She attends adult day care at the Clelian Center where she is always creating her artwork which she shares with great pride. A lifelong resident of New Haven, Dorothy is affectionately known as Ms. Dot and Ma to many in the community. Over the years, she operated a store where she generously provided goods to those in need who could not afford them. Dorothy also worked for many years as the beloved lunch lady at Helen Grant Elementary School. For over 50 years, she was an active member at Trinity Temple where she assisted with the children’s ministry, the Women’s Department, and was involved with the prayer team. Dorothy was thrilled that her precious artwork was exhibited on Friday, November 7th at the Miller Memorial Library in Hamden.
