Giving back to his community of Chesire, Connecticut is very important to Anthony so our Connecticut chapter was thrilled to grant his wish for more supplies so he can continue making kindness rocks! Anthony, 93, is an Air Force veteran who lost his beloved wife of 60 years in 2019. After his wife passed, he began painting river rocks with motivational words and messages of kindness which has given him purpose and connections with others in the community. Anthony and his daughter deliver his hand-painted rocks to a local coffee shop where customers are encouraged to take one and pass along the kindness. To date, he has painted over 400 rocks and has received more than 200 thank you notes from strangers who were touched by his generosity and inspired by his story. Painting the river rocks gives Maniscalco purpose and keeps him engaged and connected to the community. His wish was simple, but profound: to receive more river rocks, paints, brushes and markers so that he can continue his mission of spreading kindness, one rock at a time.
