Gone fishing!

On August 6th, our Houston chapter with help from Eagle Point Fishing Camp, San Leon, Texas, granted Mr. Chavis’s wish to go deep sea fishing one more time! Mr. Chavis, 67, is a Marine veteran and lifelong fisherman. He now has limited mobility and realizes that this may be one of the last times he gets to go out on a boat deep sea fishing to try to catch the “big one!” The weather was perfect and although Mr. Chavis was hoping to just catch one fish, he kept reeling them in as you can see! Eagle Point cleaned and filleted the fish so that he could cook them at home. After his big fishing trip, Mr. Chavis was treated to lunch at Pier 6 Seafood where he enjoyed lobster for the first time ever!
