Roseanne P., 72, Doylestown, PA

Roseanne Palka, a resident of Grundy Hall in Doylestown, PA, recently had her wish for an upwalker granted, thanks to funding received from The Provident Bank Foundation.  Palka, 72, has several medical conditions including arthritis and spinal stenosis.  Her doctor prescribed an upwalker, which because of it’s upright design, allows the user to maintain good posture while still providing support while walking. Unfortunately, Medicare doesn’t cover the cost of the upwalker.  Palka lives on a fixed income and can’t afford it on her own. Thanks to funding received from The Provident Bank Foundation, her wish was granted on July 19, 2018.
