Ollie C., 68, Gadsen, AL

Ollie Clanton, 68, an Army veteran and resident of Gadsen, Alabama, who served during the Vietnam War, recently had his wish to reunite with his older sister who is ailing granted , thanks to Twilight Wish Foundation and Volpe and Koenig, P.C.  Clanton, along with his niece, Teresa Clanton, traveled  to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in early June to see his sister Elaine Carnevale, 77.  Although Clanton and his sister are close and talk on the phone frequently, they hadn’t seen each other in more than 15 years.  With Carnevale in declining health and housebound, Clanton wanted to make the trip to see her before it is too late. While in Philadelphia, Clanton and his niece, Teresa Clanton,  attended the annual West Point Society of Philadelphia Founders Day Banquet on Saturday, June 7th.   Twilight Wish founder Cass Forkin presented Clanton with a wish certificate honoring him for his service during the banquet. This wish was funded through Volpe & Koenig’s 2013 IPromiseTM Charitable Giving Fund (IPromise).  Twilight Wish was chosen as one of the two recipients of this annual grant in 2013.  Pictured, Ollie with Twilight Wish founder, Cass Forkin.
