Joe Stark, 81, had his wish to go to a Pittsburgh Pirates game granted, thanks to the Western Pennsylvania chapter of Twilight Wish Foundation. An Army veteran who served during the Korean conflict, Stark is known for his generosity and concern for others; he is focused on doing as much as he can for his family while he can, according to his social worker. Stark is also a huge sports fan and coached football, baseball and basketball youth teams when he was younger. His wish came true when he and three family members attended the Pirates game on Saturday, August 3rd. Twilight Wish volunteers granted Stark’s wish on Thursday, August 1st at Community Life McKeesport in front of the facility staff and Stark’s close friends and family. In addition to TWF presenting Stark with the four Lexus Club tickets, he also received a Gold Lot 4 parking pass and Pirates’ hat and shirt to wear on game day.
