Jim K., 96, Philadelphia, PA

First Class Petty Officer Jim Kelly, who served during World War II, had his wish to attend the 118th Army-Navy game in Philadelphia granted, thanks to Twilight Wish, Valley Forge Military Academy, Paul Mango, Comcast, Travis Manion Foundation and Compassus. The last time Jim, now 96, attended the iconic game was when he was 16 and selling candy bars to servicemen at the game, 80 years ago. Although he lived in Philadelphia most of his life, he never had the opportunity to go again until this year. Jim is a proud graduate of Roman Catholic High School and recently received the award for oldest living veteran at a recent reunion. After graduating, Jim enlisted in the Navy and served as an Aerographer’s Mate. His wish was granted on December 9th, 2017.
