Harry S., 92, Lansdale, PA

Harry Snyder served in the U.S. Army during World War II, participating in the invasion of Normandy, Operation Cobra, the Battle of the Bulge and the Allied occupation of Berlin.  He was a member of the 67th Armored Regiment, 2nd Armored Divison.  His wish to travel back to the shores of Omaha Beach in France where he fought during the invasion of Normandy, 70 years ago was granted, thanks in part to funding received from the Volpe & Koenig, P.C. IPromise Charitable Giving Fund.  Snyder’s journey back will be part of a documentary titled “Normandy: A World Apart.”
