Georgia R., North Huntingdon, PA

Georgia Richardson, a resident of North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, recently had her wish to for a copy of “Gone with the Wind” granted, thanks to our Westmoreland County, PA chapter. Georgia was a librarian for many years. She never married and now lives in a nursing facility and has very little visitors. Georgia was nominated by her social worker who thought that having her wish granted would lift her spirits and make her feel less lonely. Our Westmoreland County chapter surprised Georgia with several books, including her favorite, “Gone with the Wind,” as well as lunch out at a local restaurant on May 29, 2017.
