Taylor, 80, is battling prostate cancer and recently had heart surgery. Because he lives on a fixed income, he could not afford this mattress which will greatly improve his quality of life. Samuel was a pastor and also ran a food bank and a shelter for the homeless and addicts. He was thrilled to have this wish granted.

/in Fulfilled Wishes/by Mary FarrellAgnese Fraioli, a resident of Ocala, Florida, had her wish to have an Italian dinner with her family and friends at her favorite restaurant, Milano Italian Grille granted. Fraioli, 90, lives with her son, Bernardo, who is her caregiver. Her original wish was to travel to see family over the holidays, but she was recently diagnosed with a serious medical condition and can no longer travel. Instead, she was treated to dinner with friends and family at her favorite Italian restaurant. In addition, she and her son were transported in style in a stretch limo to and from the dinner. Thank you to Milano Italian Grille for generously donating the meals for this special wish. Thank you also to Walmart store #5326 for donating a sheet cake to celebrate Fraioli’s wish being granted.
Yard Goats Game, Hartford, CT

The seniors all had a great day! One senior threw out the first pitch and another sang “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” during the seventh inning stretch.

Although some residents do have their own tablets, many others do not and wish to use one. Seniors benefit from the use of iPads for battling loneliness and isolation and staying connected with family and friends. This fall, Bellarmine University students will be using them to teach and interact with residents at Nazareth Home. This wish was funded thanks to a grant from ScanSource.

Griffin, 68, is the sole caregiver for her daughter who is in hospice care and needs to do laundry on a daily basis to take care of her daughter’s needs. Because she can’t leave her daughter alone, it is difficult for Griffin to go to the laundromat. They live on a fixed income and cannot afford to replace the appliances on their own. Having her wish granted will be a huge help to them both.

Many of these residents are veterans and all have spent their lives in community involvement and volunteer service to others. T & T Fun Farm brought their adorable animals to visit the residents on August 21, 2023. A huge thank you to T & T Fun Farm for greatly discounting the cost of the visit!
