Char T., 76, Tucson, AZ

Great job by our Arizona chapter in granting another wonderful wish! Char, 76, a resident of Tucson, AZ, wished to spend some time with her grandchildren in Iowa. Char was a single parent, working three jobs for 18 years, to raise her five children in Iowa. She also has a long history of community service througout her life. In fact, Char created a character, Lucy Ladybug and taught a program for the United Way in Dubuque called “The Grassroots of Giving.” Char was also one of three founding memebers of Iowa’s first crisis phone line. Her wish was granted on July 23rd when she traveled to Iowa to spend time with her family.
