Betty O., 83, Indianapolis, IN

Betty Ottinger, a resident of Rosegate Healthcare in Indianapolis, had her wish to see the Nutcracker performed granted, thanks to the partnership between our Indiana chapter and American Senior Communities. Betty, 83, has always dreamed of seeing the Nutcracker performed, but never had the chance. One of her most prized possessions is a music box that has several scenes from the Nutcracker on it. It was one of the last gifts her late husband gave her and is in her room at the nursing facility. Betty volunteered in her church’s Good Shepherd’s Community cooking and serving food to the homeless. Her wish was granted on Sunday, November 26^th when she attended the Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker at the Murat Theatre.
